Every date that matters, and where to go.
You get three votes for school trustee in Area 3, because three trustees are elected. You can use all three. A lot of people mark one and stop, or skip the trustee section altogether, which is how a school board gets chosen by a small number of people.
Below is every voting opportunity, taken from the district's statutory notice of election, plus the all-candidates meetings that have been announced.

Open to everyoneWherever you live, in Gibsons or in Areas D, E and F, the trustee race is on your ballot. In Elphinstone and West Howe Sound only one candidate was nominated for regional district director, so for a lot of voters there the school board is the contest on the ballot this year.

All-candidates forum, school trustees
Chatelech Secondary School library, 5904 Cowrie Street, Sechelt
Organised by the Sunshine Coast Teachers' Association, the Sunshine Coast Retired Teachers Association and CUPE Local 801. A moderated panel, with questions from the floor. Candidates also answer a written questionnaire beforehand, and those answers go to the members of the three organizations.

School trustee candidatesThis is the only all-candidates forum for school trustees on the Coast this year. It was organised by the teachers', retired teachers' and support staff associations rather than by the school district, and it is the one occasion where you can hear the seven of us answer the same questions in the same room.
Nothing else has been scheduled for trustees in 2026 by the school district, the regional district, the Town of Gibsons, either chamber of commerce, or any community association I can find.
